Some quick studies/sketches in paint and pencil. A partial ode to childhood. I'll be adding some pop culture items in my daily work. But, a lot of it will be some of my own children's book style work. I like working on both. Tomorrow is the start of a new continuing theme all year. Maybe once a week? I usually use acrylic and gouache among other supplies. Not so much watercolor. It's been collecting dust in my studio remembering the good ol' days in high school and college when I used the medium primarily. I thought I'd add it back into my work. Playing with some patterns and some quickly painted butterflies.

Another sketch from a thumbnail sketch inspired by the film. I was thinking of making it one image initially. But, I may just crop the images and make them each their own. The start of another breakfast at tiffany's inspired image. The goal was to have a calendar for this year. The new plan is for next year. I have a few more tiny thumbnail sketches of of remaining odes to this movie planned out so I figure I'll finish the project little by little this year. I have plans for other movie odes and my own stories but I'd like to see this through. It is a good movie.
