hello!
Internet is working now! I've missed it so. Queen and Mary Poppins seemed appropriate (due to lack of caffeine or possibly silly tiredness). Although I was thinking of this song as well as this song.
Expect more art to show soon.
Currently: going for a walk to see nature.
I've heard so many great things about it. :)*

changing some things around here.
wishing life wasn't so challenging at times.
but, life is good.
drawings to show soon once my internet is once again set up. :)

ABC

My small ode to the music of Michael Jackson.
Here's a little clip of the Jackson 5 performing with Carol Burnett. A perfect pairing. :)
One of my favorite Michael Jackson songs is ABC. The costumes too were classic, tassels, sequins, bright blocks of color, patterns, ruffles, bell bottoms. brilliant. As a child born in the mid-late seventies I never saw this stage of Michael's except in the record collection of friends and family at the time and now on the 'oldies' radio station. (where they now play eighties music. sigh.)
I also was a fan of the song 'Thriller' (an ode coming soon for this) and *especially* the music video. I would sit and watch the 'making of the video' show on MTV multiple times while drawing 50 famous faces (or any book from that series), play with legos or Cabbage patch dolls.
The singing really gets started on '6:30' of the clip.

happy cinco de mayo

Dear Mexico,
You've been having a difficult time lately, with the swine flu and everything.
So, today, play a little "ojo del tigre" from this classic film and get your groove back.
Hopefully you'll be feeling better soon.
